More than 50 video "breakout sessions"

The online portal to literacy training from Smekens Education, webPD provides engaging video seminars on today’s most relevant reading and writing topics for K-12 teachers. Every subscription to webPD includes on-demand access to our entire library of literacy training videos. With more than 50 videos for teachers across the K-12 spectrum, webPD also provides a downloadable handout to accompany each session.

Practical strategies
While every webPD video is rooted in best-practice research and tied to College and Career-Ready Standards, what teachers love most are the ready-to-use strategies that come with each session. Instead of pie-in-the-sky theory, webPD videos provide dozens of classroom-tested ideas that are both practical and effective.

The next best thing to attending a live
Smekens Education workshop

If you are not able to attend a Smekens Education one or two-day workshop in person, the next best option is to enroll in a course from webAcademy. That's because every webAcademy course is built from video footage captured during live full-day seminars led by Kristina Smekens, president and lead consultant for Smekens Education.

Powerful PD
Rooted in practical, best-practice strategies, each webAcademy course features engaging online professional development that is designed for on-demand access by individuals or groups.

In addition to delivering 5+ hours of professional development, each webAcademy course also includes opportunities for educators to reflect and comment on what they are learning. Registrants are granted 30 days to complete a course but receive lifetime access to a password-protected web page that contains a treasure trove of lessons, videos, and other resources for implementation.
