Executing Remote Teaching

How to apply best-practice strategies during whole-class instruction

3-Hour Virtual Workshop

When schools were shuttered last spring due to the pandemic, educators did their best to keep teaching through the end of the school year. But even the most tech-savvy teachers have admitted that they were operating in survival mode.

Now that a new year has started and remote teaching is still a reality (or a potential reality) for many schools, now is the time to not just survive while remote teaching—but to thrive. With the engaging strategies shared during this workshop, teachers will be able to plan and execute instruction and assessment to move students toward mastery of any skill or concept.

During this 3-hour virtual workshop for K-12 teachers, participants will learn how fundamental best-practice strategies can be systematically applied to remote teaching using live and recorded video.

Meet Kristina

Kristina Smekens

President & Lead Consultant

Kristina has a gift for making the complex seem simple—for showing teachers how to meet the needs of readers and writers by bridging the gap between education research and practical, classroom-tested strategies that work. When she presents at state and national conferences, teachers flock to her sessions because they know Kristina will share strategies they can use in their own classrooms the very next day.

Beyond providing teachers with practical classroom techniques, Kristina is also a master of motivation. By demonstrating enthusiasm for innovation, she helps educators find the encouragement they need to return to their classrooms and execute change.
