Share Voice with a Moody Pumpkin Patch

While delivering on-site training, Smekens Education consultant Courtney Gordon shot this photo of a bulletin board at South Creek Elementary (Brownsburg, IN). Kindergartners in Julia Butz’s class each were assigned to write a personal narrative. Before writing, they had to determine how they felt about their topics/memories. As students made faces representing their emotions, Julia snapped a photo of each student. Their challenge was to use the picture as a reminder of the voice and feeling they should attempt to convey.
