So what is a live Smekens workshop?

Whether you’re fresh out of college or a veteran of the classroom, we guarantee you will leave our live workshops with classroom-tested strategies you can use the very next day.

Our one and two-day live conferences offer a much-needed opportunity for educators to step away from the hustle and bustle of school to immerse in focused professional learning. Thousands of teachers can attest that after attending a Smekens workshop, they leave with the strategies, enthusiasm, and motivation to improve their instruction right away.

What other educators say

“This is by far one of the best conferences I’ve ever attended. We drove 8.5 hours to be here, and it has been worth every minute & every mile! Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful ideas to help our students become amazing writers!”

Tiffany Young

Instructional Coach,
West Plains High School, West Plains, MO

“I have spent so many hours/days in PD with my teachers. I have honestly never been in one where the teachers were so actively engaged, so excited about implementation, and already planning for PLC where they can prep together. I’m excited because they are!”
