Workshops Canceled

Workshops Canceled

The Small-Group Reading workshops scheduled for Wednesday (Jan. 30) and Thursday (Jan. 31) in Elmhurst, IL have been canceled.

While we had planned to brave the weather, the Illinois governor’s state-wide “disaster proclamation” has caused us to change course.

Now that the workshops have been canceled, we are happy to offer two different options for moving forward:

OPTION 1: You may transfer your registration to any other live workshop other than the Literacy Retreat. Just let us know which workshop you want to attend.

OPTION 2: You may have access to the same presentation via our webAcademy online workshop.

The online workshop features a previously-recorded video of the same full-day live workshop. Here’s what you receive with the online workshop:
  • 30-day access to the workshop video.
  • The ability to stop, start, and review the video as you wish during the 30-day period.
  • A full-color PDF download of the workshop handout.
  • Lifetime access to the corresponding “secret site” of related resources.
  • A completion certificate demonstrating your participation in five hours of professional development.
  • Illinois-specific continuing education documentation ready for submission to your local school district.
If you choose the online workshop option, we are also happy to provide you with one additional complimentary registration to the same workshop so that a colleague may also view with you.

**Also, for those educators who choose the online workshop, presenter Kristi McCullough will be hosting a live “bonus” webinar on February 13 for the Guided Reading Workshop and Feb. 21 for the Literacy Stations workshop. These webinars will offer additional content not included in the online workshops and will allow attendees to participate in a live Q & A with the presenter.

NEXT STEP:
When you know which option you would like to choose, please email to let us know.

We regret any inconvenience this change has caused. As much as we wanted to continue with the workshop, the safety of our guests is even more important.
