Frequently asked questions
What funds can I use to pay for Smekens Professional Development?
Federal grants: The U.S. Department of Education offers a variety of grants for PD, including the Title II, Part A Subgrant Program and the Teacher Quality Partnership Grant Program. These grants can be used to fund a variety of PD activities, such as workshops, conferences, and online courses.
State grants: Many states also offer grants for PD. These grants can be used to fund a variety of PD activities, but they may have specific requirements, such as focusing on certain subject areas or grade levels.
Self-funded PD: Many schools allocate a portion of the local budget to teacher professional development and continuing education opportunities for educators.
At Smekens Education, we have experience with all major sources of funding and are available to help you strategically allocate your funds.
Do I have to pay in advance?
We understand that many schools need time to process a payment through the appropriate channels. That’s why we offer flexible 30-day payment options for purchase orders.
For our on-demand professional development, payment of a purchase order must be received prior to granting access.
What methods of payment do you accept?
The preferred method of payment is with a school purchase order that is ultimately paid via check or ACH. Schools may use a credit card to purchase webPD and webAcademy on-demand recorded videos.
Can I purchase an individual subscription?
Yes, of course! If you are interested in subscribing to webPD, you can purchase one year of access for just $99. If you would like to watch an individual webAcademy workshop, you may select one for $169 or $264 depending on the course.
